How do I sow Lobelia Seeds?
Lobelia isn’t too difficult to grow from seed if you follow the instructions. Sow the seeds in February in a seedling tray. Sprinkle the seeds on a good seedling compost and don’t cover the seeds. They need light and water to germinate (spray with a water bottle). The seeds will germinate at a temperature between 18 and 24 degrees after two to three weeks. If you would like to sow the seeds in the garden, do so in March or April and cover with glass (otherwise it will be too cold for the seeds to germinate). If you sow them later, Lobelia will flower later in the summer. Please read the sowing and growing instructions on the lobelia seed packet and follow them carefully for best results.
