Microgreens seeds for sale online

Microgreens seeds for sale online. Enjoy delicious organic homegrown food. Microgreens are seedlings – in other words, young plants from sprouted seeds of popular sprouts such as cress, bean sprouts, alfalfa, mustard or basil. They are super healthy and packed with flavour. The young plants are rich in vitamins A, B, C and minerals. They are delicious on a sandwich, healthy salads, and smoothies for a super-fast, nutritious breakfast.

Growing microgreens – grow your own greens

Growing microgreens is possible indoors and outdoors. Growing microgreens is very easy and also economical. Buying germinated young plants in the supermarket is quite expensive. There is a difference between microgreens and sprouts in that microgreens are grown in soil, and sprouts are grown in water. To grow healthy greens, all you need is a container with a thin layer of moist soil. Sprinkle the seeds out over the earth and cover them with a thin layer of soil. Put them away in a light spot, out of full sun. After about one to two weeks, depending on the type of sprouts you want to grow, you can harvest and enjoy. You can, of course, also germinate the seeds in a shallow sprouting dish – sprouting dishes are specially developed for growing sprouts. You can also grow them on moist cotton wool or in a preserving jar.

Grow sprouts from seed

You can grow sprouts by germinating seeds in a shallow sprouting dish – sprouting dishes are specially developed for growing sprouts. You can also grow them on moist cotton wool or in a preserving jar. After about one to two weeks (depending on the type of plants you want to grow), you can harvest and enjoy. The preserving jar method is handy because you can grow many sprouts in a short period. In this case, the seeds are first soaked and then rinsed daily during cultivation (you can find videos online explaining how to grow sprouts in a preserving jar). You can use any glass jar if you like, as long as the opening is large enough to easily harvest the sprouts by hand or use a sprouting dish. Glass sprouting dishes are specially made to grow healthy sprouts. For the cotton wool method, use unscented zigzag cotton wool. Wet it and place it on a plate. Press out most of the water and make an even seedbed. Spread the seeds evenly over the cotton wool and press them gently. Let the seeds germinate in a light spot, out of the sun. As soon as the seeds start to sprout, keep the cotton wool moist with a plant sprayer to prevent the seeds from drying out.
