A native of Holland. Also referred to as "Field Scabious". A fantastic butterfly and insect attraction due to the large amount of nectar the flower offers. The light purple flower grows to about 4 cm and has many stamens with dozens of petals. A relatively rare plant mainly seen in the dunes along the North Sea coast because of the somewhat limy sandy soil.
