The plant binds nitrogen from the air making it highly suitable as a green manure crop and for producing vegetable compost. The seeds are often used in birdfeed. Suitable for clay and loam soils. Sowing time: July to end of August. Sowing depth: 2-5 cm. Distance between the rows: 10-15 cm. Height 30-40 cm. 150 grams is suitable for 15m2. The plants are sensitive to frost.
