Spiciform stems, covered at the top with dark lavender-blue flowers. The leaf has a strong aniseed fragrance, and is used, both fresh and dried, to make tea. The flowers produce vast amounts of nectar, making it one of the better honey plants. A combination of fragrance and colour in your garden.
