Kiwano of Horned Melon (Cucumis metuliferus). The Kiwano has the fresh, sweet taste of lemon and banana. It is used in fruit salads and desserts. Sow indoors in pots from April - June at 22°C-25°C and plant out after four weeks, in a hobby-greenhouse. Plants will need stringing. It is preferable to pollinate the female flowers by hand.
