Wintersquash Waltham Butternut - Ornamental Collection. A peanut-shaped squash with sweet orange flesh. Rich squash flavour for baking or mashing. Delicious when cubed and added to stews with warm flavoured seasonings such as cloves, cardamom, curry, cumin, cayenne and paprika. From mid spring until early summer in open ground in a seedbed. Plant out in well manured soil.
