Very old variety from Australia. The stalks have diverse colours, such as yellow, orange, pink, red, and white. The leaves are green. Very attractive in the ornamental garden and tasty to eat. Particularly suitable for leaf cultivation and stalk cultivation. If the young leaves and leafstalks are not harvested, it is also possible to eat the stalks of the mature plants. These can be prepared in the same way as asparagus. Very tasty and healthy. Sow at row distances of 20-25 cm. Then thin out lightly to approx. 5 cm distance. It is, however, sensitive to running to seed.
